Get to know us

About the Minnesota RollerGirls: It’s a story that’s been told and retold at bedsides throughout the Twin Cities. Three sisters go south in 2003 on the word of a dream of women reforging a sport from the nadir of late-night television hell.  They bring the Promethean fire of roller derby from the heart of Texas to the land of Minnesota Nice, and four teams arise into what will become the Minnesota RollerGirls.  Now in their fifth season, ranked fourth in the North Central region, and proud founding member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, the women of the MNRG welcome you to Saint Paul for the Brawl of America!

About The Roy: Welcome to the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium, the exact geographical center of roller derby in America.  The Roy, named after one of Minnesota’s leading lights in the struggle for civil rights, is ground zero for the Minnesota RollerGirls.  We train here, we practice here, and we bout here before the ravenous macro-organism that is the MNRG derby fanbase.
